Ter Stegen hit by stomach bug ahead of the World Cup

Marc-André ter Stegen has been hit by a stomach bug and will therefore not be able to travel to Oman with the rest of the Germany team today.

With less than a week to go before the World Cup starts, FC Barcelona and Germany goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has fallen ill.

The German Football Association has confirmed today that the 30-year-old is suffering from a stomach bug.

Therefore, he will not be travelling with the rest of the team to Oman today, but will remain in Frankurt and fly out once he has recovered.

Germany face Oman in a friendly on Wednesday ahead of their World Cup opener against Japan on November 23.
