Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has admitted that "there is certainly a need to talk" after a turbulent season for the German champions.

Having been knocked out of the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League since replacing Julian Nagelsmann with Thomas Tuchel as coach, the Bundesliga title is all that's left for Bayern this season.

Kahn's own future has been called into question in recent weeks, and while he insists his focus is 100 percent on winning the league right now, he admits there are things that need to be worked out at the end of the season.

"There's always a lot of talk and discussion here, which is nothing unusual for me," Kahn told Kicker after Sunday's 2-0 win over Hertha, which moved Bayern one point clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table.

"It's not that we like everything that has happened in the last few months. There is certainly a need to talk," he continued.

The talks will take place at the end of May, when "a supervisory board meeting is scheduled".

"We will sit down and be very critical of each other," Kahn stressed.

"But that's the future. Now it's step by step. For me, the title is the most important thing, and that's not a consolation prize, but the German championship."
