Bochum sell defender Horn to Nürnberg
Former German youth international Jannes-Kilian Horn's permanent transfer to 1. FC Nürnberg was confirmed yesterday.

Horn's career stops with VfL Wolfsburg, 1. FC Köln, and VfL Bochum still leave him with more top-tier than second-division experience. Bochum nevertheless - one assumes - were not prepared to keep him on their top division roster given his history with injury. Horn had to contend with a hip injury, a muscle-cluster tear, and a torn meniscus in the last year alone.
"Jannes committed to us early on because he has felt incredibly comfortable at the club, in the team and in the city over the past six months," FCN sporting director Olaf Rebbe noted in a club statement, "He is a versatile left-footer who can enrich our game with important elements. Especially at the end of the past season, he was an important stabilizer in our team."
"Since the first day in Nürnberg, my family and I have had the impression that we can become at home here," Horn himself added, "I am very happy that the permanent commitment has worked out. In this context, I would like to thank not only those responsible at the club, but also VfL Bochum, that the transfer could come about. I really wanted to return to FCN."
"We have complied with his wish," acting sporting director Marc Lettau said, "We wish him all the best, he is always welcome at the Castroper Straße."
