Wolfsburg attacking prospect receives fresh loan-out

VfL Wolfsburg attacking prospect Bartosz Bialek is once again headed westward on a new loan-out.
After spending six months with Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Erdevisie, Polish striker Bartosz Bialek will spend next season in Belgium working under former trainer Florian Kohfeldt at KAS Eupen. The 21-year-old scored five goals in 25 appearances during his time in Holland. Bialek made 12 appearances under the Kohfeldt regime at Wolfsburg, including his last Bundesliga game to date against Bayern in May 2022.

"Bartosz is a big, powerful striker with the necessary eye for goal," VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz is quoted as saying in the club's statement confirming the departure, "He took a big step in the right direction last season and showed what he is made of. We hope that he can now gain even more match practice in Belgium and reach the next level."

The youngster is the second Bundesliga player set for a reunion with Kohfeldt next season. Midfielder Kevin Möhwald - whom worked under Kohfeldt at Bremen - was sold to the Belgian outfit late last month. Bialek does have two Bundesliga goals to his credit, netting them both as a regular substitute under the VfL coaching regime of Oliver Glasner during the 2020/21 campaign.
