Fantasy Bundesliga tips: 10 players to consider for Matchday 17

Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 17.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Jeremie Frimpong and Harry Kane.

Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 20%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 17.

Jordy Makengo, Freiburg (Defender, 2.2M, 3%)
Fought his way into Freburg's starting lineup in December and is expected to keep his place at left back from the start of 2024. Priced at just 2.2 million (on sale this week), he is one of the best budget options at the back.

Maximilian Mittelstädt, Stuttgart (Defender, 6.8M, 7%)
Finished 2023 in very impressive fashion, and with Hiroki Ito representing Japan at the Asian Cup, he looks set to start in the coming weeks.

Joakim Mæhle, Wolfsburg (Defender, 7.7M, 2%)
Known as a full-back with attacking prowess and an eye for goal, Mæhle has yet to reach his full potential at Wolfsburg, but still played a solid first half of the season, picking up 70 points. With Die Wölfe starting 2024 with a favorable run of fixtures, the Dane could be a great differential.

Brajan Gruda, Mainz (Midfielder, 1.8M, 7%)
One of the few bright spots of Mainz's season so far, Gruda has nailed down a starting spot on the wing for Die Nullfünfer, who start 2024 with a pretty good schedule.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Dortmund (Midfielder, 7.8M, 7%)
The English winger offers a cheap way into the midfield of a Borussia Dortmund side who will kick off in 2024 against one of the league's weakest teams, Darmstadt. If you can't fit Brandt in, Bynoe-Gittens is a good, much cheaper alternative.

Roland Sallai, Freiburg (Midfielder, 9.4M, 2%)
Sallai impressed as a striker with two goals and an assist in Freiburg's 5-2 friendly win over Eintracht Frankfurt last week and looks set to continue in that role against Union Berlin.

Kevin Stöger, Bochum (Midfielder, 10.9M, 17%)
One of the most consistent Fantasy Bundesliga assets this season, Stöger has managed to score an impressive 158 points despite playing for a team in the bottom half of the table.

Jamie Leweling, Stuttgart (Striker, 5.5M, 0%)
With Silas and Guirassy at the Africa Cup of Nations, Jamie Leweling should be nailed down to start on the wing for Stuttgart in the coming weeks and has had a promising build-up to the start of the second half of the season.

Patrik Schick, Leverkusen (Striker, 11.3M, 8%)
Rounded off 2023 with a hat-trick and looks set to start up front for Leverkusen for the coming months, with Boniface ruled out until April.

Jonas Wind, Wolfsburg (Striker, 13M, 5%)
Has been directly involved in 65 percent of the Bundesliga goals (nine goals, four assists) for a Wolfsburg side, who begin 2024 with a nice run of fixtures.
