Germany coach Joachim Löw has revealed that neither Timo Werner, Jonathan Tah nor Ilkay Gündogan will be able to play in Wednesday's friendly against Argentina in Dortmund. Meanwhile, Marco Reus is a doubt.

Timo Werner and Jonathan Tah are suffering from illness while Ilkay Gündogan is struggling with muscular problems.

"We expect Timo Werner to join up with tomorrow, because he's feeling better. But he won't be able to play tomorrow. Jonathan Tah and Ilkay Gündogan will also miss the game. Marc Reus is struggling with a knock. We'll see how he's doing tomorrow," Löw said at a press conference today.

Toni Kroos, Jonas Hector and Matthias Ginter have all been forced to pull out of the squad due to injuries, and Löw admits the long injury list is frustrating as Germany are in the middle of a rebuilding process ahead of the European Championship in 2020.

"The injuries mean we can't continue playing together, which makes things more difficult with regard to 2020," the Germany coach said, as quoted by the German Football Association.

Germany take on Argentina on Wednesday at 20.45 CEST.
