Julian Kania has made the move to join VfL Osnabrück on a 6-month loan from second-division side DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

Both clubs have agreed to keep the fine details of the transfer confidential. The 24-year-old will join Osnabrück's team training shortly.

Kania was a crucial part of Bielefeld's run to the 2024-25 DfB Pokal final last season, scoring two goals in five games en route to Berlin.

This campaign, he has only featured for 318 minutes in the 2.Bundesliga scoring one goal – he voiced his will to leave back in late October.

“Julian approached us with the desire to seek a transfer in the winter to gain more playing time. After a joint analysis of the first half of the season, we decided to grant his request.

"We remain convinced of his qualities, and at the same time, regular playing time is a crucial factor for his development.

"In Osnabrück, Julian will have the opportunity to gain precisely that kind of experience at an ambitious third-division club.

"We will closely support him throughout his transfer and wish him every success at VfL in achieving our shared goals,” said DSC sporting director Michael Mutzel.
