A potential deal-breaking demand for additional performance bonuses by the player's brother and agent was reported upon by both L'Équipe and German footballing magazine Kicker yesterday. Now L'Équipe claims that Germany's Kraichgauaer have nixed the deal so as not to have to contend with the unwanted distraction.
A €6 million transfer bid had been accepted by the French side earlier in the week. Djiku also traveled to Sinsheim and passed a medical. The German club now looks elsewhere to shore up its depleted defensive ranks.
