Weidenfeller slams Dembélé: 'That's just bad style!'

Borussia Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller is very unimpressed by the way his former teammate Ousmane Dembélé forced through his move to FC Barcelona.

Last summer, Ousmane Dembélé pushed through a move from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona after going on strike and refusing to train.

Now, Borussia Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller lashes out at Dembélé for his behaviour leading up to the transfer, saying the Frenchman let his teammates down.

"You just don't walk out on a club like that. It caused incredible turmoil that couldn't be calmed by anyone. This is a team sport - football is not tennis. He didn't even collect his boots. That's ridiculous," Weidenfeller told ESPN.

"It was here that he turned himself into a player Barcelona wanted to buy - but rather than being thankful he decides to leave the club by staying at home, going on strike, abandoning his teammates. That's just bad style - no manners," he added.

Dembélé, 20, spent one season at Borussia Dortmund before he moved to Barcelona. His first season at the Camp Nou has been hampered by injuries, and he has been limited to just 15 league appearances, scoring three goals.
