After back-to-back loans with SSV Jahn Regensburg as well as a stint with 1. FC Nürnberg, Bayern Campus product Sarpreet Singh is headed for a fourth consecutive season of 2. Bundesliga football with a third club. Hansa Rostock confirmed that they had signed the 24-year-old to a two-year-deal on Wednesday evening.

Singh scored seven goals and contributed ten assists in 41 competitive appearances with Regensburg in the last two second division seasons. His previous club's relegation left Regensburg without a prospects for either another loan or outright purchase. Rostock remained interested enough to pay Bayern a transfer fee, which was not disclosed.

"With Sarpreet Singh, we have signed a technically very accomplished player who feels at home in the offensive center and will give us new impetus with his game intelligence," Rostock sporting director Kristian Walter noted in a statement accompanying the signing, "He has already proven his quality in the second division and will add even more variability to our game."

"I am very excited about this new chapter in my career and to play for this traditional club and in this fantastic stadium," Singh himself added, "So far, I've only had the experience of playing against Hansa, so I can't wait to start for Hansa now."
