Naby Keita hopes to be reunited with former teammate Timo Werner at Liverpool
Naby Keita has commented on the rumours linking his ex-teammate Timo Werner with a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has urged his former teammate Timo Werner to join him at Anfield Road.
The RB Leipzig striker has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool, and Keita hopes to be reunited with the 22-year-old.
"We played very well together in Leipzig, and he was one of my best friends there. It's clear: If he'll be on the move, I ask Timo to join us here at Liverpool," Keita told Sport Bild.
Keita played together with Werner for two seasons at RB Leipzig before completing a move to Liverpool last summer.
Werner, who joined RB Leipzig from VfB Stuttgart in 2016, is under contract until 2020.
