Markus Krösche has signed a new long-term contract with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bundesliga club confirmed on Tuesday that their board member for sport has penned a contract extension until 2028.

This puts an end to speculation linking Krösche with a position in the sporting management of Borussia Dortmund.
"Markus Krösche has become a very important part of Eintracht and has made a significant contribution to our success in recent years," said Philip Holzer, chairman of Eintracht's supervisory board.

"By extending his contract, we are relying on the important continuity that we value and want to continue in all bodies. This is a very strong signal at this stage of the season."

Krösche, who been at the club since June 2021, commented:

"The past three years have been characterized by a very trusting cooperation with my fellow board members, committees and employees. I have come to know Eintracht Frankfurt as a very emotional and passionate club. I consider it a privilege to be able to work for Eintracht and want to do my part with my team to ensure that the positive development can continue in the coming years."
