Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl believes Marcus Thuram has made a positive impact at the club in more than one way following his summer move from Guingamp.

"We wanted to do something new offensively. With him, we have really improved in terms of physicality, speed, dribbling and scoring goals," Eberl said in an interview with Sport1 and continued:

"Right from the beginning, he has been an incredibly funny an open kind of guy who spreads a lot of fun and joy in the dressing room, but who is also very professional. This combination is what makes him special."

The 22-year-old has made 17 appearances for Gladbach so far with eight goals and five assists to his name.
