Victor Boniface came close to leaving Bayer Leverkusen during the winter transfer window, but a lucrative move to Saudi club Al-Nassr collapsed at the last minute.

Since then, speculation has mounted around a possible summer transfer.

However, according to the striker’s agent, Emefie Aneke Atta, Boniface sees fresh opportunities under new coach Erik ten Hag.

“There is a new coach, a new setup, but still a very good team that is playing in the Champions League again. Victor and I have never talked about a transfer before,” Atta told Bild.

“We haven’t been in contact with any other club. Right now, there are no thoughts about leaving Leverkusen. Of course, in football, you never know, but Victor loves playing for Leverkusen,” he added.

Boniface, 24, remains under contract with Bayer 04 until 2028.
