Could Dortmund throw a spanner in the works and swoop in for RB Leipzig's main transfer target?

According to sources close to the Premier League club, Dortmund are close to finalising a deal for Wolverhampton's Fabio Silva ahead of their Bundesliga rival RB Leipzig!

It is believed that Dortmund have already got the green light from the player and are only discussing the final transfer fee with Wolves. Silva has a market value of €20 million, according to Transfermarkt, but Wolves paid over €40 million to secure his signature in 2020.

Therefore, the Premier League side are keen to recoup as much as possible for the talented Portugese, who spent last season on loan at UD Las Palmas.

RB Leipzig are still on the lookout for a Benjamin Šeško replacement and were set on Silva to be that man. Now, it looks like Dortmund could be the destination for the 23-year-old.

At BVB, Silva could play alongside Serhou Guirassy - but he most likely would have to fight against Maximilian Beier and Karim Adeyemi for a spot in the starting eleven.
