Matanovic officially joins Freiburg

SC Freiburg have confirmed the signing of Croatian forward Igor Matanovic from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 22-year-old joins the Breisgau club on a permanent deal, with both parties agreeing not to disclose the details of the contract.
"Igor has a really exciting profile. He’s alert, physically strong, and always poses a goal threat. On top of that, he shows a great attitude and a real willingness to work for the team," said Freiburg board member Jochen Saier.
"In the past, we’ve shown that together with the player - and a bit of patience - we can take the next steps in their development and help realise their undoubted potential."
Matanovic himself said he is “overjoyed” about the move.
“SC Freiburg comes across to me as authentic, family-oriented, and ambitious - exactly how I’d describe myself. That’s why I’m convinced this will be a great fit. Now it’s finally time to get started, and I can’t wait to train with the lads,” he added.
