Fabio Silva will apparently not be able to make his Borussia Dortmund debut anytime soon.

According to Bild, the new signing from Wolverhampton could remain sidelined for up to four weeks due to persistent groin problems.

A first appearance before the end of September therefore seems very unlikely.

After Silva missed Dortmund's 3-0 win over Union Berlin on Sunday, BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl said:

“Fabio had a muscle injury over the summer and is still in the process of building up his fitness. We’ll use the international break to get him ready and fit enough to help us. We’ll have to see how long it takes.”

Dortmund paid a reported €22.5 million to sign the Portuguese forward.
