Sport1 Report: SGE prepare to give up on Akman and Onguéné

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing to give up on two once heralded signings set to return from unsuccessful loan spells.

In the case of Turkish attacking prospect Ali Akman, a 2. Bundesliga buyer may have already been found.
After 21-year-old Turkish striker Ali Akman was unable to establish himself this season on loan in the Turkish second division, it looks to be the case that parent club Eintracht Frankfurt wish to offload their once highly-regarded signing. This is according to a report released today by Germany's main sporting tabloid, which further notes that second division side Fortuna Düsseldorf may be interested in taking the stalled prospect on.

Akman returns from a second successive loan-stint, having never made a senior team appearance for the SGe since signing in 2021. The same applies to Red Bull Salzburg central defender Jerome Onguéné, who was loaned back to the club Eintracht signed him from this past winter. The Cameroonian international unfortunately encountered still more injury problems in Salzburg and was unable to play a single minute in Austria.
