Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 2.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Jeremie Frimpong and Harry Kane.
Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 20%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 2.
Rasmus Carstensen, FC Köln (Defender, 5M, 0%)
The Genk loanee was a surprise starter for Köln against Borussia Dortmund and impressed on his Bundesliga debut. Playing as a winger despite being a defender in the game, the 22-year-old worked tirelessly and could easily have grabbed at least one assist had his teammates been more clinical in front of goal. With that in mind, it would be surprising to see Carstensen left out of the starting eleven for a Köln side with a pretty good schedule. A very good budget option, and a differential too.
Anthony Caci, Mainz (Defender, 7.1M, 0%)
Playing in a wing-back role, Caci was one of the few bright spots for Mainz in their 4-1 loss to Union Berlin on Sunday, scoring his side's only goal. Die Nullfünfer now arguably have one of the best schedules in the league and should therefore have a good chance of bouncing back in the coming weeks.
Pavel Kaderabek, Hoffenheim (Defender, 8.2M, 1%)
After an impressive pre-season, the Czech wing-back quietly picked up a solid 10 points despite not being involved in a goal and being on the losing side in a 2-1 defeat to Freiburg. With Hoffenheim now taking on Bundesliga newcomers Heidenheim, Kaderabek could be a great differential to have.
David Raum, RB Leipzig (Defender, 11.1M, 5%)
Another player who impressed in pre-season, Raum started the season in respectable fashion with an assist and eight points despite conceding three goals and losing to Bayer Leverkusen. With Leipzig at home to Stuttgart in a game they're tipped to win, the Germany international could be a big difference-maker this week.
Roland Sallai, Freiburg (Midfielder, 9.4M, 4%)
Sallai overshadowed fellow Freiburg attacker Vincenzo Grifo in Saturday's 2-1 win over Hoffenheim, with his 19-point haul making him the highest scoring midfielder on Matchday 1. Freiburg's upcoming match against Werder should give the Hungary international a good chance to continue his fine form.
Xavi Simons, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 12.6M, 10% – on sale)
While many Fantasy managers will be looking to target Dani Olmo, Simons offers a good and cheaper alternative, being on sale this week. He didn't have his best game against Bayer Leverkusen last week, but was very impressive for PSV last season and had a good pre-season with Leipzig.
Jonas Hofmann, Bayer Leverkusen (Midfielder, 15.3M, 10%)
Having been a reliable Fantasy asset for Gladbach for years, Hofmann is now a Bayer Leverkusen player and will return to the Borussia-Park this weekend. He showed last week that he's already capable of delivering at his new club, picking up 12 points.
Kevin Behrens, Union Berlin (Striker, 9.4M, 4%)
Behrens was one of the standout players on Matchday 1, scoring a hat-trick, and should have a good chance of getting on the scoresheet once more against Bundesliga newcomers Darmstadt.
Lois Openda, RB Leipzig (Striker, 14.2M, 15%)
Leipzig's new record signing scored in his first Bundesliga game last week and should have had a second. With Leipzig facing an easier task at home against Stuttgart this week, Openda looks like an intriguing option this week.
Leroy Sané, Bayern (Striker, 14.4M, 10%)
Sané started in the absence of the injured Gnabry and made the most of his opportunity, scoring a brace against Werder Bremen. That should give him plenty of confidence going into this weekend's home game against Augsburg.
