Having been linked with a move to AS Monaco over the last week, Lukas Hradecky looks destined to be heading for the French Riviera.

Bayer Leverkusen's managing director of sport Simon Rolfes revealed to Sky Germany that the deal to AS Monaco is almost complete.

“There's a good exchange and Lukas is a truly a deserving player," said the 43-year-old boss, praising the Finnish shot-stopper.

"Maybe sees that he won't be able to play [here] as much after Mark Flekken's arrival and has the opportunity to play in the Champions League [at Monaco].

"And he knows that we of course need a replacement before we can let him leave, but we're trying to find a good solution for him,” Rolfes explained.

Die Werkself have reportedly been working on that replacement in relative secrecy, with RB Leipzig's Janis Blaswich tipped to arrive shortly.
