Schalke identify candidate for squad planning in Hannover 96 chief scout

FC Schalke 04 may soon present a successor for the dismissed squad planner Ben Manga, according to information from Sky Germany.
The Royal Blues have listed Maximilian Lüftl from second-division rivals Hannover 96 as their preferred candidate.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, concrete talks are reportedly taking place between the Schalke bosses and Hannover 96's chief scout.
According to the pay-TV broadcaster, Hannover is aware of the ongoing negotiations between Lüftl and the Gelsenkirchen outfit.
The 31-year-old has worked for the club since February 2022, having previously worked for FC St.Pauli and TSG Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich.
