Undav backs Woltemade amid Bayern talk: "We all want to help him stay clear-headed"

For weeks now, Nick Woltemade has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but VfB Stuttgart’s desire to keep the striker has so far prevented the transfer from going through.

Speaking to Kicker, Deniz Undav expressed his full support for his teammate, assuring that Woltemade has the backing of the entire Stuttgart squad.

“We all want to help him stay clear-headed,” Undav said.

“It’s completely understandable that a player is preoccupied when Bayern come calling.”

Undav also shared some advice he has given Woltemade amid all the speculation.

“He shouldn’t read too much into the rumours, shouldn’t look left or right, and shouldn’t worry about whether the fans still like him. He just needs to avoid overthinking things and keep pushing forward,” Undav explained.

“He must never forget that we stand behind him, even if he leaves the club, and that we need him just as much now as before - and in the future.”
