Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland was taken off at half-time as a precaution after scoring twice in the first half of Norway's 9-0 friendly win over Armenia last night.

"It was a tough game for Erling," Norway assistant coach Kent Bergersen told TV2.

"He had several ankle knocks and we decided to rest him."

Norway head coach Ståle Solbakken added:

"He looked at me with disappointment when I said he wouldn't get to play the second half, so it's nothing serious. It was my decision."

Haaland only recently made his return from a long spell on the sidelines.
