Bayern officially unveil Kim

South Korean international Kim Min-Jae's blockbuster move to FC Bayern München was officially confirmed early Tuesday evening. 
German giants FC Bayern München followed up a major administrative announcement on Tuesday with a significant personnel unveiling. The blockbuster deal that will see Kim Min-Jae suit up for Germany's record champions is now official. After signing Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) and Raphaël Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund) on frees, Bayern have now finalized their first major purchase of the summer.

The 26-year-old Taeguk Warrior signed a new deal at the Säbener Straße good through 2028. Multiple sources have long confirmed that Bayern obtained the play from SSC Napoli via a contract exit clause that cost slightly less than €50 million. Bayern organized an elaborate roll-out, confirming that Kim will wear the no. 3 tricot.

"FC Bayern is the dream of every footballer," Kim noted in a club statement, "I'm really looking forward to everything that awaits me in Munich. For me, it means a new beginning, I will continue to develop here. In the talks with the club, it was made clear to me right from the start how great the interest in me is. My first goal is to play a lot of games. Beyond that, I want to win as many titles as possible."

"Min-jae Kim is a player on the rise," acting Bayern sporting CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen added, "most recently winning the Italian championship with SSC Napoli and being voted Serie A's best defender. He impresses with his physical presence as much as with his mentality and speed. We are pleased that he can immediately fully join our training camp and are convinced that he will also inspire our fans with his style of play."
