Wimmer joins Wolfsburg injury list ahead of Leipzig clash
Patrick Wimmer joins Koen Casteels and Rogerio on the injury list for Wolfsburg's DFB-Pokal clash with RB Leipzig.
VfL Wolfsburg will be without Patrick Wimmer when they take on RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday night.
An ankle injury will keep the Austrian winger out of the game, Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac announced on Monday.
He also confirmed that Koen Casteels and Rogerio will remain on the sidelines.
"Patrick Wimmer will not be ready for the game. The rest of the squad will be the same as last weekend. This means that Koen Casteels and Rogerio are still out," Kovac told reporters.
Wimmer started in Wolfsburg's 3-2 loss to Augsburg on Saturday and was taken off early in the second half.
