Bayern Munich have confirmed that Tarek Buchmann will spend the upcoming season on loan at 1. FC Nürnberg.

At the same time, the club announced that the 20-year-old Germany youth international has signed a new contract with the Bavarians.

“Tarek has all the qualities needed to establish himself at professional level. Unfortunately, he’s had terrible luck with injuries over the past two years, which is why we were all the more delighted to see him make his comeback in the opening games of the Regionalliga season," said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund.

"He’ll now have the chance to gain valuable experience in the second division with Nürnberg. Tarek is a great character who doesn’t let setbacks throw him off track, and now he can take his next steps. Bayern will be closely supporting him.”

Buchmann spent most of last season sidelined due to injury problems.
