About six months after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt, Dino Toppmöller is understood to be nearing a return to coaching.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the 45-year-old will take charge of RC Lens on a two-year contract.
He is set to replace Pierre Sage, who is expected to move to Crystal Palace to succeed Oliver Glasner.
Sage led Lens to an impressive second-place finish in Ligue 1 last season, as well as a French Cup triumph.
AC Milan, Crystal Palace and clubs from Saudi Arabia were also interested in Toppmöller, who was relieved of his duties at Eintracht Frankfurt in January.
