Yann Sommer expected to start for Bayern against RB Leipzig

Several sources report that Yann Sommer is in line to make his debut for Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig tomorrow.
Yann Sommer is expected to come straight into the Bayern Munich's starting line-up following his impending switch from Gladbach.

Several reputable sources, including TZ and Kicker, tip him to start Friday's top-of-the-table clash against RB Leipzig if everything goes according to plan.

Sommer has traveled to Munich for his medical and is in line to sign his contract with the German champions today.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said at a press conference yesterday that a new goalkeeper would only need "15 minutes" to integrate and settle with the backline.

34-year-old Sommer will deputize for Manuel Neuer, who has been ruled out for the season with a leg injury.

Meanwhile, his replacement, Jonas Omlin, has arrived at Borussia-Park ahead of his move from Montpellier.
