Report: Dortmund drop out of Gündogan race
A return to Borussia Dortmund this summer is out of the question for Ilkay Gündogan, reports Bild.
After leading Manchester City to a treble as captain, Ilkay Gündogan is set to decide his future beyond the summer.
The 32-year-old, who is out of contract at Manchester City, was briefly linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund, but the midfielder has other plans and, as a result, Dortmund have dropped their interest in him, according to Bild.
According to the German tabloid, the Germany international is likely to either extend his contract with Manchester City or sign for Barcelona or Arsenal.
Saudi Arabian clubs are also said to have made enquiries about Gündogan, who played for Dortmund from 2011 to 2016 before joining Manchester City.
