Schalke sign midfielder from Freiburg
Lino Tempelmann has joined Schalke 04 on a three-year contract.
Schalke 04 have confirmed the permanent signing of Lino Tempelmann from Freiburg.
The 24-year-old central midfielder, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at FC Nuremberg, has put pen to paper on a contract with the Royal Blues until 2026.
"We are very happy that Lino has been able to join the team in Mittersill. Every day is helping him to integrate quickly into the team," said Schalke 04 sporting director André Hechelmann.
"Lino ticks all the boxes we were looking for in a number 8, especially with his technical skills. He has made over 60 appearances for Nuremberg in the last two years and even wore the captain's armband last season. Despite competition from Bundesliga clubs, we have been able to secure a really exciting player for Schalke 04."
Tempelmann scored two goals and laid on three assists in 31 2. Bundesliga games for Nürnberg last season.
