Tuchel confirms muscle-fiber injury for Upamecano
Among a trio of Bayern players who incurred injury in last night's narrow victory, FCB central defender Dayot Upamecano looks to be facing the most prolonged spell on the sidelines.
FCB trainer Thomas Tuchel confirmed Upamecano's near-term loss last night.
While Upamecano remains out for this weekend's forthcoming league fixture against Augsburg, the potential availability of Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer will have to wait for further clarification.

Speaking at his post-match presser following the victory, FCB trainer Thomas Tuchel confirmed that a muscle-fiber injury on Upamecano's left thigh would likely sideline the 25-year-old for weeks rather than days. Upamecano will definitely not be an option this weekend against Augsburg. Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid spoke of a break of at least three weeks in a piece published this morning.
"There is already a diagnosis," Tuchel said of Upamecano, "This is of course extremely bitter for Upa personally, but also for us. He's almost irreplaceable in his current form. He's been in absolute top form for many weeks. His ambition, drive, and physicality have been outstanding recently. That's why this hurts us all so much."
Tuchel deferred further news on Kimmich (shoulder injury near the end of the match) and Laimer (subbed off in the 87th with calf problems). The Bayern gaffer noted that news would come today at the earliest. After promising further updates, Tuchel also emphasized that no one on his staff felt the need to "panic" ahead of the next league fixture.
