"Everything suggests" that Kimmich will leave Bayern, reports Bild
Joshua Kimmich no longer seems to have a long-term future at Bayern Munich.
With his contract due to expire in 2025, the 29-year-old's future has been in doubt for some time, and Bild now reports that a contract extension is looking increasingly unlikely, with neither club nor player inclined to continue working together.
“Everything suggests that Kimmich will leave the club in 2024 or 2025,” the German tabloid states.
Kimmich is not necessarily pushing to leave this summer, but could also imagine leaving on a free transfer in 2025.
However, Bayern are keen to avoid losing him for nothing and would prefer to sell this summer if a separation is on the cards.
The question is whether it will be possible to find a solution that would satisfy both parties.
According to Sky Germany, the German international would only consider a move to a top club such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.
For now, Kimmich is focused on the European Championship.
"After that, there will be talks," he said at the German national team camp.
"It's not primarily up to me to play an active role at the moment," he added.
