Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany expressed his excitement ahead of the upcoming Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund, highlighting the importance and thrill of the fixture.

“I’m always looking forward to games like this,” Kompany said. “Some of the most memorable moments in my career have come in these big clashes. You don’t get a trophy for this match, but a win always feels like one.”

The Belgian emphasized the magnitude of the occasion: “These are two great clubs, and we are really looking forward to the game.” He also confirmed that Serge Gnabry would miss the match after feeling some discomfort in his thigh. “The game is coming too soon for him,” Kompany explained.

On the team’s approach, he added: “Our priority today is to be dangerous in front of goal. We are Bayern Munich at home - we’re not going to sit deep and defend, are we?” he said with a laugh.

Kompany’s words underline the attacking mindset Bayern plan to bring to this high-stakes Bundesliga showdown.
