Hertha Berlin and Paul Seguin have reached a verbal agreement, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

A contract from the German capital club has been offered until 2027 with an option to extend for one additional year.

Negotiations between Schalke 04 and Hertha are currently ongoing with the transfer fee said to be around €500,000.

Hertha boss Stefan Leitl is determined to make 30-year-old Seguin a key player in Berlin as they chase promotion.

Seguin made 25 appearances in the 2.Bundesliga where he netted 2 goals and provided 5 assists in the process.
