Sources at Sky Germany are informed that Loris Karius will extend his contract at Schalke next week.

A new deal is said to be in the pipeline which will keep Karius at the Veltins Arena until 2027.

Schalke's hierarchy are said to be happy with his performances and mentality, while also counting on his experience.

Initially, the Royal Blues picked up the 31-year-old as a free agent until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Having impressed in 4 appearances to date, the decision was made to tie him down to a long-term contract scheduled to be signed next Wednesday.
