Dortmund face injury woes ahead of Schalke clash

Borussia Dortmund could be without several key players for their meeting with Schalke 04 on Saturday.
Marco Reus has been ruled out of Borussia Dortmund's derby clash with Schalke 04 at Signal Iduna Park in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

"Unfortunately, Marco isn't an option for Saturday. We also have a few players carrying knocks. We will have to wait and see in the next few days," Sebastian Kehl, Head of the Licensing Player Department at Borussia Dortmund, told WAZ.

According to Kicker, Dan-Axel Zagadou will definitely not be available either while Axel Witsel and Emre Can are highly doubtful due to muscular problems.

Jadon Sancho recently returned to team training following a muscle injury and isn't fully fit yet. Achraf Hakimi, Manuel Akanji, Mario Götze and Marcel Schmelzer have all suffered setbacks in training recently.

As for Schalke, Benjamin Stambouli and Omar Mascarell will both be absent.
